Carmela Valles Immigration Consulting is the first private immigration consulting business in the Peterborough (Nogojiwanong*) region. We realize that coming to Canada involves meeting certain selection criteria, a complex process that needs time and money. We provide honest, professional and affordable service, and we are committed to promoting the region of Peterborough, Kawartha Lakes and Northumberland County as a destination for new Canadians.
We respectfully acknowledge that Carmela Valles Immigration Consulting is located on the Treaty 20 Michi Saagiig territory and in the traditional territory of the Michi Saagiig and Chippewa Nations, collectively known as the Williams Treaties First Nations, which include: Curve Lake, Hiawatha, Alderville, Scugog Island, Rama, Beausoleil, and Georgina Island First Nations. We respectfully acknowledge that the Williams Treaties First Nations are the stewards and caretakers of these lands and waters in perpetuity, and that they continue to maintain this responsibility to ensure their health and integrity for generations to come. We in Nogojiwanong are all Treaty people. [This land acknowledgement has been written and approved by Chiefs/Reps from Hiawatha First Nation and Curve Lake First Nation and the Friendship Centre].
We offer our deep gratitude to Michi Saagiig and Chippewa Nations for their care for and teaching about our earth and our relations. May we honour these teachings everyday of our life in our new home – Nogojiwanong/Peterborough, Canada. We also recognize those who have journeyed from distant lands who share their gifts with our community in the spirit of peace, inclusion and cooperation. May we continue to actively strengthen our relationship via respect, friendship and solidarity.
